To straighten hair:
Divide the hair into small sections and fine subsections.
Select the desired temperature. For fine hair, use a lower temperature. For medium to coarse hair, use a higher temperature.
Starting at the base of a section, lightly spray a pump of Perfect Defense (sold separately) eight to 10 inches from the hair.
Close the flat iron at the base and run it through the ends, repeating until the desired flatness is achieved.
Continue working in the same way through all sections.

To create soft waves and curls:
Divide hair into small sections and lightly spray Perfect Defense (sold separately).
Select the desired temperature. For fine hair, use a lower temperature. For medium to coarse hair, use a higher temperature.
Take a small section and position the iron where you want the curl to begin.
Slightly close the iron and rotate it a quarter of the way in the desired curling direction (away or towards your face), then pull it through to the end.
Continue working in the same way in all sections.
